Above, I have drawn an overview, with explanations.  By including this overview early in the book, I hope it will be easier for the reader to follow the contents, as we move on.

Quote from the Scriptures

This book is not a thematic walk through the different topics of the Apocalypse, such as “the last tribulation”, “the millennium”, “the return of Jesus” etc. Instead, I have chosen to lead the reader through quite a few passages of scripture, in order to let these speak for themselves. This is not easy, as my interpretation of these passages always will be coloured by my opinion. However, I think that this angle of attack will grant the reader as much freedom as possible to draw his or her own conclusions.

First, I have chosen to look into Jesus’ words in the introduction to Matthew 24 to get His overview and “spirit” in our understanding of the things happening in the end times. Then, I have chosen to use the Prophet Daniel as a “disposition” for my work. From him and his writings I have been trying to draw a more detailed picture by using content from other books of the Bible, such as the Book of Revelation and the Prophecies of Ezekiel. The reasoning behind using Daniel this way is that he has a tremendous overview over the end times for both gentiles and Jews, an overview that has been a great help for me to get a wider understanding on this topic. Due to this, there may be a few repetitions of some of my points, as many of the passages are dealing with the same reality, described from different angles.

The following passages of scripture and topics are dealt with in this book:

Jesus Christ – regarding the End times:

  • Matthew 24 A warning against false teaching

The prophesies of Daniel
